Rocket Bot Sim
Started out with Warbot, which is always (B/B), always available in major cities, but costs 500g before any rep discounts. Wasn't til I did some more testing & realized that not only does the Rocket Bot work same/better, but way cheaper (50g before discounts). The tradeoff is that Rocket Bot's come in one of 3 breeds when you buy em (BB,SS,PS). All work fine when upgraded to rare, but S/S & P/S work near perfect as 24-25 without upgrading!! Either way, dozens of strategies for this battle. If this one helps, woot!

High XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.

Isn't she cute? And easy to beat! That sounds kind of wrong, sorry. There are plenty of pets that can solo this fight, mostly dragonkin or the famous Emperor Crab for example.

I have added a speed restriction to pet 1 for alternative purposes. Tally does not always die on the swap in Missile because of variable damage, and since my Robot was at roughly 100hp away from the mech round, being slower than Tally could result in a failure.

Noted on the speed restriction :) The upside, every breed, when upgraded to rare, is faster than Tally, even at level 24. The downside: if you windup with a BB, things might be twitchy till it's rare & leveled up. Updated the Petsim link to illustrate the best case scenario (rare/SS/25). If someone is still using an uncommon or under 25, mileage may vary :) Not looking to replace the better strategies, just listing this one as an option for those that are starting out
