Broken while the bug with passing still exists
Update: Working in 9.0, victory still takes 13-14 rounds. Credit for the strategy goes to SaltyGoldfish from Wowhead: https://www.wowhead.com/npc=124617/environeer-bert#comments:id=2545352 Levelling pet can take 916 damage (or 1374 critical damage) - beasts will take more, elementals will take less. A level 1 magical pet should be fine 90% of the time according to the strategy author. If Corporal Hammer dies in round 4 because of a critical hit from Solar Beam, continue normally until Venus dies in round 7. Then bring in your Snaplasher and continue as written from round 11. |

Sticking with AoE attacks lets you kill the back rank so they never get into the fight. This means you won't be faced with any AoE attacks and can use this with any Level pet that can take a single hit from Corporal Hammer (550 Mech).

Environeer Bert:3PM9:2114216:221A52:ZL:P:443::10::::
Not a fast strategy, but it allows for a level pet with low health requirements (Beast: 664HP, non-Beast: 443HP, Elemental: 295HP). Works with a P/P Blazehound. With a S/B you likely have to add one Bite after the second Puppies with Corporal, and the RNG risk (see below) is higher. RNG with Clamp: It can happen that Squashling is still rooted by Clamp where the description says “release Plant”. Haven’t seen this in a while, but it can happen. We are screwed then. Low prob. RNG with Blazehound: The non-crit damage of Obsidian Bite varies between 379 and 705. So, if you are unlucky it may happen that your Blazehound doesn’t bring M-37 into Failsafe. In that case you have two choices: 1) If the leveler XP is important, then restart the fight. 2) If not, then bring in your Squashling (instead of the leveler) after Blazehound’s death: You will then win the fight, but your Squashling may survive and you won’t get XP. |

This is a fun strat. It doesn’t allow for a level pet, but it shows you what Corporal Hammer looks like when he’s commiting suicide.
We are using the “Never More” ability two times: First on Corporal Hammer, to convince him to kill himself, second, on M-37 to prevent him from casting his annoying Burning-Bomb DoTs. Once the way is clear, the main work is done by pet #3. BTW: You can also force M-37 into Suicide-Explode by bringing it under a certain threshold before Never More expires. (Usually 300HP (maybe 250?) or below). |

I wanted a team that would take advantage of the enemy pets having the Explode ability. Unfortunately, only the first pet can be forced into using it on its second turn (tested with Nevermore on a second pet).

Yes, it is slow. Each battle with Bert is relatively slow. It might be difficult to follow. Moreover, it might be more successful when you adjust your reaction to what's exactly happening, or delay killing Clamp to get more AoE healing.
Still, this is a levelling strat. In a battle where you have a front pet DoT, AoE, forced swaps and a bit of uncertainty. As you learn it (or follow the script), however, you'd be able to repeat it everyday not only just for the pet, but for your alt aswell. I'd been repeating it since the second day on live, until August 2019, And have got 100+ Dibblers. About the carry level: level 5 describes mostly the beasts. Most pets at the 3rd or 4th should suffice. Magic pets can be 1, and if you don't fear the crits – elemental, mechanical and a couple of H/H pets can be 1 aswell. Script by @Prudentius. EDIT (2019-03-08) The latest part is slightly differently worded now. |

I got this strategy from Raindance's comment on another strat. Was surprised it's not on here because it works so well. It does take a rather long time but it never fails if you execute properly.
A note on the level pet: It's going to take a lot of mechanical splash damage, so don't bring a beast. Bring a rather high level pet; it's especially good if you have an elemental you need to level up. |

This is a reliable two pet strategy. It takes a bit of time, typically just over 20 rounds, but I've never seen it fail. Requirements on the carry are pretty tall, but that's because it's going to have to eat a lot of backline damage.
Blazehound (2,1,x)
Lava Crab (x,2,2) This can be done with other breeds but it's a LOT easier with B/B.
Carry pet. Should be over 900 points, 600 if it's Elemental, don't use a Beast.
B/B Molten Hatchling (x,2,1) is a drop in replacement for the Lava Crab, and a P/S hatchling or a Pandaren Fire Spirit can also be used. In testing I've not seen a problem with the Fire Spirit, but I have seen its health fall lower. I suspect the P/S Hatchling will see this as well.
Rematch team: Environeer Bert:3PM9:2114216:2223D7:ZL:P:900::10::::
Round 1: Retrieve
Round 2: Swap to your Lava Crab
Round 3: Magma Wave
Round 4: Cauterize
Round 5+ Cauterize on cooldown, fill with Magma wave.
Continue this rotation until you've cast Magma Wave just once after Clamp has done his Mechanical rez.
However you need to watch your health, and either delay or avoid Cauterize, to allow your health to ramp down a bit as his health falls. Ideally you should be 400 to 500 to 600 HP at this point. The lower the better, but watch you don't die. Worst case, Clamp can hit you for 392 points if either of his big attacks crit.
At this point, pass until you die. After this:
Round 1: Swap in carry
Round 2: Swap in Blazehound
Round 3+: Obsidian Bite your way to victory.
Rematch team: Environeer Bert:3PM9:2114216:2223D7:ZL:P:900::10::::

Stun Seed - Burn - Lash - Immolate - Seed stuns Commander which makes M-37 come in - Immolate - Conflag and Burn kills M-37 with only 2 firebombs active - Commander comes back at minor health or dies from immolate while m-37 fighting. Use Immolate/Burn/Lash to kill Clamp, with bad rng might need 3rd pet for a killing blow.

Not 100%, but works pretty well. Start off with Photosynthesis, Sunlight, and Solar Beam. When first guy is dead, fight until current pet is dead then switch to Jademist. Jadeskin must go up first, geyser, then Steam Vent. Often it will end up that geyser will go off after resurrection and finish them, or it will stun them after your pet is killed so lets your last pet come in and clean up easy.

Hatespark the Tiny 2-1-1
Lvl10+ pet
Turn 1. Scorched Earth - Tiny is swapped in
2. Conflagrate - Fel Flame is swapped in
3. Conflagrate - Tiny is swapped in
Corporal Hammer activates Failsafe
4. Flamethrower
Hammer dies
M-37 comes in
1&2. Deep Burn
M-37 activates Failsafe
3. Flamethrower
M-37 dies
Clamp comes in
1. Pass - Depending on crits against Tiny, you may not need this round, if you do need it and Clamp uses Storm Coil, you might as well reset because it will then have its 2 strongest attacks available against your Fel Flame, if Tiny dies before this round, you should be fine
Tiny dies
Bring in Fel Flame
2. Conflagrate
3. Scorched Earth
For H/P and H/S breeds;
4. Burn - You may not land this or even see this round
Fel Flame dies
Sometimes Clamp activates Failsafe, sometimes not
Bring in Leveling Pet
5+. Finish with your most powerful attack/s. Remember that Scorched Earth will tick for 61
(H/P) or 56 (H/S) damage per round
For H/H breed;
4. Burn
5. Pass
Fel Flame dies
Bring in Leveling Pet
Then: Finish with your most powerful attack/s. Remember that Scorched Earth will tick for 56 damage per round
Unlike most strats I've seen, it's Clamp that can really screw this one, not M-37. Just remember; on round 10 it's better to refresh the Scorched Earth DoT than to push Clamp into Failsafe with Burn and have the weather effect fall off just when your leveling pet needs it most.
I find it's best to use leveling pets with at least one strong Elemental DoT attack - such as (Fel) Immolate, Poison Lash, etc. - to push Clamp into Failsafe, then hit it with any attack ~150 damage. In fact, it's best to only use Elementals as they do more, and take less, damage overall and take none from Scorched Earth.

Your level pet will most likely take a couple hits on the backline from Storm Coil as well as a turn of the Firebomb ticks when it comes in, so it should probably be at least level 10, or maybe more.

I've repeated that, not getting any beneficial crit. In round 6, the Sunflower is supposed to trigger failsafe *and* damage Hammer for additional 415 damage, leaving the enemy on such low HPs the Sunlight from round 7 is enough to finish.
There was a version where two steps were missing, but it was replaced very soon, sooner than you wrote the most recent message.
Additionally, while facing Clamp, you should cast two Solar Beams, one during Sunny Day and one without. (If there was no Sunny Day first time, let me know!) I believe Clamp is cooldown-locked but even if not, the window for operation seems pretty huge.
