PAGE UPDATE - BY ARANESH
A little update made it to the frontpage right now with a couple of changes and new additions:

  • No more split between "small" and "large" news. There are just news. Right here in this column.
  • The side panels or menu items can be rearranged to your liking now! Only if you are logged in though. Just use the little arrows and push the ones you use the most often to the top :-)
  • A few new side panels appeared! Among them a leaderboard showing the Xu-Fu users with the top 25 collections for each region (based on unique pets collected).

Any ideas for other panels? Leave a comment :-)

I had a recent thought: What are the comments sorted by when using the default filters? Additionally, why is sorting by newest/oldest not available?

Edit: Sorry if this is off-topic; I wasn't sure where to ask this. (edited)

Hey!

The default settings is by Newest. Just above the comments section to the right, there is a little drop down menu. You should find the sorting selections you want in there :D
P.S. By just testing it I realized it does not redirect correctly, but the sorting is a page-wide setting and while I fix that, you can just set it anyway, then navigate back to the page you liked to see.

Appreciate the response. Reason I asked is because the default currently does not sort by... well... anything, really.

https://i.imgur.com/37PDODA.png - The first page

https://i.imgur.com/itqwilx.png - Second page, which is even worse than the first. (Ignore the comment highlight, didn't mean to capture it in the screenshot I was taking.)

https://i.imgur.com/S3MLA6v.png - Used the year filter (2020), and even that is somewhat jumbled.

Not trying to be difficult, but I am genuinely confused.

Sorry for the delay. That makes a lot more sense - I thought you meant the comments in each section (like right here).
The "My Comments" page of your profile is a different story. I tried this and it's "working". The solution for date filter here is very much an approximation because I couldn't figure out a better way of date filtering with the table script I'm using.

Basically, they load filtered by date (newest first) by default. If you click on one of the titles (Year, Month, Day) - the text itself - it will sort by that field only and flip if you keep clicking.

The drop downs let's you select specific years or months in a year (year + month) or even a specific date by using all three filters.

That also means, they get jumbled around a bit if you use those filters :/ Sorry for that but I couldn't come up with a great solution so far (that does not involve re-writing the entire table script ^^)

Thank you for responding. (Sorry about the confusion I caused.)

I like the news columns being consolidated under one column. Having them split was jarring and all too easy to skip over.

I like the "Newest Strategies" panel. I think most battlers have set teams for pretty much every fight, but new strats are always nice to try out to break the monotony, especially if they're faster/more reliable, and being able to see the newest ones posted right on the front page is a big plus.

I like the "Newest Strategies" panel too. Thanls for drawing my attention to it. Something else to keep a watch on. :) I wouldn't object if we could see more.

How many more? :)

i think 5 is fine for times like now when the "new content" already is outdated again and not many strats are being created. however i wouldn't mind a dropdown similar to the collection ranking to 15 strats, which will come in handy when there actually might be that many new strats around in new patches (edited)

Weiter so!

Hey!
