Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
RNG
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

Script for this fight using Team 1

ability(Backflip:669)
ability(Tongue Lash:228)
change(next) [self.dead]
ability(Flank:193) [enemy.aura(Undead:242).exists]

Added script to stop using cool downs when undead aura exists.

ability(Backflip:669) [!enemy.aura(Undead:242).exists]
ability(Tongue Lash:228)
change(next) [self.dead]
ability(Flank:193) [enemy.aura(Undead:242).exists]
ability(Stampede:163) [!enemy.aura(Undead:242).exists]
ability(Stampede:163) [!enemy.aura(Shattered Defenses:542).exists]
ability(Flank:193)

Hopling did not Backflip during Timbo undead round for some reason and was killed. Tried twice with same results, though second time my Hopling just survived. On both occasions Backflip was used as the first attack against new opponents.
Had a look at the script and no idea what the "!" does but removing that from the first line solved the issue.
Now backflip is only used during the undead phase by Hopling and Feral Vermling.

ability(Backflip:669) [enemy.aura(Undead:242).exists]
ability(Tongue Lash:228)
change(next) [self.dead]
ability(Flank:193) [enemy.aura(Undead:242).exists]
ability(Stampede:163) [!enemy.aura(Undead:242).exists]
ability(Stampede:163) [!enemy.aura(Shattered Defenses:542).exists]
ability(Flank:193) (edited)

The "!" at then start of a script means the conditon does not exist. So in my script the undead arua does not exist, and in yours the undead aura exists. So the "!" means the oposite of what the condition is....the only reason that I can think of for the diffence would be for the pets speed going first....but i have not gone back to revisit this strat.

Could not follow step by step because of RNG swap, but worked great. Did not need third pet.

CaptainCreek wrote on 2020-05-12 01:30:07

I got this with

Anubisath Idol 1 2 1
Flayer Youngling 1 2 1
Qiraji Guardling 1 2 2

But i got a LOT of luck with crits and health. I dont think i could do it a second time, but since i didnt have any of the pets listed in this strat, it worked.

Rilla

wrote on 2019-02-18 09:11:52

If Hopling is 325 speed, first step it's pointles -> better go with Tongue Lash till Timbo is resurected and then Backflip to stun him. And since we can win without Terky Stampede - i do fight with clobber on action bar.

Ty! Doing it this way made it work :D

DragonsAfterDark

wrote on 2019-10-11 14:24:11

This definitely worked, even when I ran into some bad RNG. Timbo crit'd my Hopling, and I had to bring in Terky on Timbo's Undead round.

Since I didn't have the extra Tongue Lashes from the Hopling on Pokey, I used Terky's Acid Touch on round two with Pokey, just to eat his health on the backline after he Feign Death'd.

Used Stampede on Burly Jr., then Terky died. I used Tongue Lash > Backflip > Pass, because Burly's Corpse Explosion is triggered somewhere below 550 hp. Then cleaned up Pokey.

Solitha

wrote on 2019-07-25 15:02:45

There's nothing in the strat about Pokey's Feign Death. Kind of important.

Used Squirky as 3rd pet, didn't have troubles

Pacmane wrote on 2019-03-22 19:43:07

Got it to work with Sister of Temptation 1,1,1 - Squirky 2,2,2 - Feral Verminling 2,2,1. Curse of Doom to start then Lovestruck. Pets swap a fair bit after you stun but can win if you get the Curse in twice, stun twice & backflip stun Tounge Lash on last pet, with stampede being priority in middle. Popping bubble at right time is crucial !!

This worked first try after I had horrible luck with the one DragonAfterDark posted with the Father Winter's small helpers :) Made an account just to upvote this strategy - thanks for figuring out how to neutralize the undead rounds!

Kathleene

wrote on 2019-03-07 01:26:49

Agreed! I don't mean to denigrate DragonAfterDark (nor, I'm sure, did Melandroso). Thank you, Dragon, for working out a strategy that appears to have worked for lots of folks and for taking the time to post it here to help others. Probably just my bad luck, but I couldn't get it to work for me at all. Feeling frustrated, I saw Melandroso's recommendation for this Hopling-led strategy and tried it out. It worked great, first try. I did have to bring in my Vermling, but he ultimately prevailed. Thanks for the strategy Nevada#1436. And, as always, a big thank you to Xu-Fu for the great site.

Yóshó

wrote on 2019-02-23 16:14:01

The first option of Winter's Helpers failed consistently for me.
I did not have any pets to make up the other combinations. So I used:
Terky : 222
Ranishu Runt : 122
Squirky : 222
The trick for me was to make sure I had the Bubble available for when Burly Jr. explodes

aestrilea wrote on 2019-01-02 19:58:13

Dragons make everything Better:
i used emerald proto whelp 2-2-2 stormborne whelping 1 - 2-2 and emerald whelping 2-2-2 which i didn't need with the first pet just make sure you keep the healing up and you should be fine..

This is the humanoid strat bruh

Paww

wrote on 2018-12-28 22:03:53

I don't see Feral Vermin as a valid substitute here; he's too slow (289 vs 325 for hopling) so backflip accomplishes very little. A Flayer Youngling S/S with kick might work, although he doesn't have a strong critter attack. Mine are S/B and H/S so can't test it.

Daedrynn

wrote on 2018-12-29 01:48:46

I tried this strat like 6-7 times before I gave up. Hopling never gets that second backflip off, and Terky only gets the second enemy down to half health, so there's no Stampede buff on the third enemy and it's a fail every time.

Daedrynn

wrote on 2018-12-29 02:01:32

Strat 3 is a much more reliable choice. I got it on the 2nd try.

Wufpup wrote on 2018-12-28 16:22:07

note: highly RNG dependent on when the "dogs" swap each other in/out and who crits when. Took about 6 attempts to get the strat to work.
