Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
RNG
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

Thanks for the strat, worked first time. A script:

quit [round=5 & self(#2).dead]
quit [round=7 & self(#3).dead]
use(Dive:564) [enemy.aura(Speed Reduction:154).exists]
use(Screech:357)
use(Call Lightning:204)
use(Whirlpool:513)
use(Tail Slap:424)
use(Poison Spit:380) [!enemy.aura(Poisoned:379).exists]
use(Cleansing Rain:230)
standby

(This will autoquit, per the author's remarks, if you get crit and die on rounds 4 or 6; just heal and start again. Dehpsilva's script looks to be a list of moves, in order of intended use, which isn't how scripts work; I suggest they review the xu-fu TD-script guide, which is concise and helpful.)

This is one of those frustrating battles that, even tho u use the same pets, same skills, and same moves- u can either fail miserably or kick his butt and still have 3 live pets. RNG sucks.

It doesn't seem to work for me in SL pre patch, even though my pets survive the parts where they could die to soon, Shadeflicker survives the Lightning and Mongoose Gnaw is just a little bit to weak to kill him off

Edit: While giving it another shot I misordered Cleansing Rain and Poison Spit and now it somehow worked out for me, barely, but I made it, because the Strider survived and applied another Spit later :) (edited)
